Are any of the oil treatments (duralube, slick50, prolong, etc) acutally worth buying. I know there are a few mechs around here and would like there opinion. Thanks for the help.

At the risk of bringing in the naysayers, I'll bite.
I have seen firsthand what Prolong will do. Long story short, after using Prolong for six months a buddy had an object puncture his oil pan on the freeway at 75 mph. He drove it until he lost oil pressure (trying to get off the freeway). When we pulled the engine to replace the oil pan and repair whatever damage there was, we were shocked at the lack of damage to the engine. He ended up just replacing the pan and putting it back in. 40,000 miles later, it'* still going strong. Use this as you wish or not.

No. Obviously the car companies and oil companies would be using and recommending them if they did. See your manual.

I have hearsay only. I have heard that Slick50 has been known to clog the small passageways that the oil needs to flow thru. I personally haven't tried it yet.

I also remember reading here somewhere (back in the day) that Z-max (I think) actully had a class action lawsuit against them because of thier product. Let me check...
