Default Oil pan gasket

im gonna do the oil pan gasket as it leaks a small amount of oil once the engine gets hot
i would like to know is there anything special that i should know about when i do this?
i would like to do this myself as it doesnt seem like that hard of a job,
heres what i had assumed would be the steps i would take

1.drain oil, take off filter
2. disconnect any sensors or anything connected to the pan
3. unbolt the pan and drop down (it does just drop down right without anything special being taken off?)
4. remove old gasket and clean the pan and gasket surface
5. put new gasket on (should i use that orange high temp silicone sealant stuff?)
6. bolt pan back on
7 connect any sensors
8. put oil filter back on and fill with oil

if any would could help clarify if that seems like a good plan or if im way off
also is there anything special i should know like the questions in the parenthesis

thanks for the help

You're going to have to remove your oil cooler lines, or at least one maybe, to get one of the pan bolts out.

And I personally don't think that you need any type of sealent on the pan as I think the gasket seals itself
