Lower Intake Manifold end seal. Where the lower intake meets the block bewteen the cylinder heads, on the left and right side of the engine. They are rubber. Mine leaks on the driver side. Everything near to being below it has oil on it, including my starter. It would take me an afternood and evening to do it. You should replace the lower intake manifolds while you're at it. The ones between the lower intake and the cylinder heads. These and the LIM end seals make a rectangle around the base of the lower intake.

Sorry I missed this. I agree. It'* the LOWER lower intake manifold seals, where it mates to the block on each side. Specifically, in the corners where the head, LIM, and block meet. This is a non-pressure 'splashing' leak from the valvetrain. Not much more than an annoyance. If you degrease it well, you could slow or stop the leak with gasket maker or silicone jammed in there, but it'* best to replace them.

Last night I replaced the front valve cover gasket. I had a lot less oil on the floor when I got out there this morning. I'll get to the rear valve cover gasket next week, when I have a day off...there'* a lot more stuff in the way to do that one. I'm thinking that my oil leak was the valve cover gaskets.

Also, the car does have an oil cooler. The lines have been checked-no leaks.

When I put in the valve cover gasket, the gasket was about 1/16 " above the surface of the valve cover, so they weren't totally flat.

In regards to the pics, we just bought our first digital camera and I don't even know how to use it yet (my wife has been reading the instruction book). As soon as I figure it out, I'll try & post some.
