beaujo700 - When you set up the scanner did you choose the Global OBD II Diagnostics option or go through the menu & choose 1995 Pontiac Bonneville?

tan96ssei - OBD 1.5 is an OBD 1 computer with the OBD 2 diagnostic link connector. He should have a 2 digit code. I sent an email to Actron, let'* see what they have to say.

So I checked and I'm using the specific make model year etc...not the Global setting. So it is pulling 4 digit codes even though its obd 1compliant...thought id let you know. Oh and I meant Tan not Ted on my last post...Oops!...Thanks to everyone who has tried to help me solve this mystery..hopefully there will be a victory here. I'm currently driving on an incomplete registration...Eeek!...Will have to go to DMV and try to get an extension.

Two members have informed me that the 94 & 95'* do use the P codes. One of them has the same scanner & is trying to help a friend with the same code.

Will the scanner display the freeze frame data? If you can't get the freeze frame data can you tell us if the code is thrown at a certain RPM, speed or in a certain gear?

Some members in the past have cured the very similar P0171 code by changing battery cables. I'd like you try adding another ground wire from the engine to body. Use a fairly heavy gauge wire & leave some slack for engine movement.

Guilty as charged FWIW, I know my friend here at work, (he is a member here, but has never posted), has said his '95 SE was throwing the P0131 only when he is in Park, after idling for several minutes. I suggested he start off by rerouting his 02 wires since they were laying on the back valve cover and seemed a little pinched and twisted in the path and the manner in which it was connected, before we go through the more formal diagnosis. It is a spare car for him, so he doesn't drive it often, though, so I don't think he has done anything yet.

Ok..so i Lgot a ground cable 4 gauge and mounted it to the ICM bracket and the ground point on the fender next to the battery. No change. So just for kicks I tested the RPMs the rich/lean fluctuations occur at 1100+ RPMs. I also wrote down all the data I thought would be of any concern.

Battery Voltage 13.4
LT Fuel Trim 149
LT Fuel Tr Cl 0
Evap Duty 24
Evap Solenoid ON
Coolent Temp 212
EGR Valve Position (V) .69
Engine RPM 725-750
Exhaust O2 LEAN
FC1 off
FC2 off
IAC Pos 29
Inj PW (ms) 3.5
ST Fuel Trim 182
Loop Status CLSD
MAF(gr/*) 3
IAT (F) 118
O2S (Mv) 40
Spark Adv 14
TCC Applied NO
TCC Brake Sw ON
TCC Slip RPM 255
TCC Sol OFF
TPS Sensor(V) .33
Trans Temp 169

It all seems within range from what I've read, but you never know. I will be waiting patiently for anyone who has any more thoughts or suggestions...THANKS TO ALL!!

So I was driving today and going through the usual what ifs and was wondering if my TPS sensor was not calibrated right if it would give a low voltage reading on the o2 sensor?

Default TPS

Anything is possible at this point. You can put a voltmeter on it and post for us the readings with the key on, engine off. Idle position of the signal wire and WOT. also check for smooth range in between.
