Has anyone had multiple failures of thier oxygen sensors. I have a 93 SSEi and have had it for only 9 months. I am about to install my 3rd sensor (thank goodness for warranties). I know I have a slight intake manifold leak (did a gas test) and know that will effect the readings of the o2 sensor slightly but has anyone else had such bad luck with o2 sensors?

If it'* anything but an AC/Delco, or Denso...9 months is pretty good. Bosch and Borg Warner often last only about 3 months.

Its a Bosch sensor. Guess thats why they last 3 months..lol

Yup, that'll do it. Check out Rockauto for a new Delco or Denso O2 sensor. that should take care of it failing so quickly. Are you losing any coolant with your intake leak? Burning coolant will kill an O2 sensor pretty quickly, also.

The leak is so slow. If I look at the hot and cold full lines on the overflow bottle. I will drop maybe 1/8 inch in 2 months.

I'd suggest doing those LIM gaskets as soon as you can. You'd be surprised at just how brittle and damaged they can be.

Delco or Denso are the sensors of choice on this forum. I got a good deal on a Delhi unit (another GM OEM sensor provider) on Ebay for my 1994, and it still works as it should...only has about 6 months on it I think.

Advantage of working in a garage is I have access to all the things I need to redo the LIM. My plan was to do them in the spring.

i was getting the code for a bad OS so I changed it today and reset the Computer, and after drive a couple miles got the code back ! is it possible that the OS went bad that fast? no coolant leaks either
