Hi all,

A while ago I was having a problem on my 1995 Bonneville SE. I was going to post a message on this forum asking for help. However, since I’m not a total n00b, I did a search first and found the answer to my problem. Because I found the answer, I didn’t have anything to post except a message saying thanks. You can see the message here: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...019&highlight=

Well it happened again. I was having a problem and I was convinced that it was TCC shudder. After doing a search, however, it sounded like it might be an ignition problem. Willwren posted a message in which he said that 90 percent of the time, a car exhibiting these symptoms, it’* an ignition problem. And 75 percent of the 90 percent, it’* plugs and/or wires. Well, because of that post I changed the plugs and wires with my brother’* help. He’* the same guy who helped me with my fuel filter problem/project (http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...701&highlight=).The car runs great now. There was nothing wrong with my transmission. Thanks willwren!

Sincerely,

Leif W.
1995 Bonneville SE 131,000 miles (owned since new)

P.*. What’* the correct way to refer to my car. It’* an SE with the SLE option group. Do I refer to it as an SE or SLE?

well I am glad to hear that all your problems have been solved and got your car back in proper running order.

Stick around and chat. You will learn things you never knew before.

as the for the SLE, there is a thread going right now about that topic.

We commonly refer to them as "SLE" when they have the package. Simply because the options set them apart, and Pontiac finally decided to start badging them in 98.

Glad you got her running.

Yes, luckily I had written it down on my service records the last time it was set.
