Default No Trunk Button for my SE :(

Is it hard to add a trunk open button to my 93 SE? I hate having to turn the car off and take the keys out of the ignition just to get something from the trunk. Please?

I'm not sure if the wiring is already in the door or not for it. A gear head will have to confirm.

BUT, if there is and you're interested...I have a brand new trunk button in the original GM packaging that'* just collecting dust. I bought it when I was trouble shooting and never ended up needing it....and never took it back. My loss could be your gain!

do you have keyless entry with trunk release? if not, you're gonna need the whole latch mechanism.

it is a urban legend that all 93 cars are prewired form the factory the same no matter what trim level

take the door apart and see if there are any unconnected wires

on your RPO codes do you have AUO?

do you have any kind of wires that are on the latch on the trunk??
