Default No fuel filter

I have traced the fuel line from the rear of engine to the tank. I have NO filter at all. I have checked the areas that other posts have said to look (passenger side in front of rear wheel) but I have no filter. Does anyone else have no filter or is there another place to look that I missed.

Your filter is inside the passenger side frame rail behind where the front subframe attaches. Just about under the right front passenger'* right foot, inside the frame rail. It has quick-release fittings on both sides and one bolt holding the retainer to the frame.
