New Radiator Needed, But which one?
Well the ole bonne has sprung a leak in the radiator. While searching the web for a replacement I have found many makes that claim they fit my car. My question is how do I know which one I need. Some come with oil/tran cooling and coolent temp sensor as well as coolent level sensor. All I really want is exactly what is in there. How do I know if I have all of these things on my current radiator? BTW THANK YOU Danthurs for helping me with my vacuum leak. Your advice saved me BIG $$$$$
Depending on where the leak is, some radiator shops can pull them and solder them. This is usually cheaper than the $400+ for a new radiator.
Multi fit radiators are not designed to fit a single model, but will cover several different makes - like Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac and as such have the accessories openings for cooling lines, sensors, etc.

Glad I was able to help. Take a look at www.rockauto.com and see what they have listed there. As Purplehazer said, they can fit several cars. If it'* a small leak see if you can have it soldered. Less money and less work then pulling and replacing.
Well it is leaking in the side under the upper return hose in what looks like multiple places. I was told (not offically) that leaks in the seam that goes vertically are not able to be repaired. I checked rock auto they only want like $125 for a new one. I would think that a fix would probably cost that much. 75 per hour labor plus shop fees, I think replacement is probably the best option. But.... To buy a new one should I get the one with all the sensors and oil/tran cooler? Or maybe I am over estimating the repair cost. BTW I tried Bars leak with no succes it seems like it leaked more after that LOL just my luck. Between my bonne and my boat engine I am about to pull my hair out.
Guess I need to leave the office and get down and dirty with it. I just have to decide, do I want to work on my bonne or my mercury. Life is full of hard choices! If I had it my way I would throw them both off a cliff, but then what would I do with all my free time? Thanks for your guys input.

You will more then likely need the trans cooler. As for the sensors. I would try to get them out of the old radiator first. If they don't come out then get them locally.
