Default New balancer paint is peeling

I know the harmonic balancer is part rubber, therefore made to flex. The new one I just put on had a nice shiny coat of black paint on the rubber. After a few days, the paint is all cracked and peeling off. Should I be worried? It makes sense to me why this would happen, but I need to make sure of it.

I'd call it normal.
