Bill is right about not changing the crankshaft position sensor yet. I only provided the description of how my car was acting so you could compare the symptoms and let us know how similar your symptoms are.
After you pull the MAF, and see if that is the problem, its still a good idea to get the DTC'* pulled at Autozone (once you put the MAF back in).

I would have been on it, if there wasn't another underlying problem. Once there'* another problem though..it'* like saying a kid is super tired, and they are cranky. ....They could be hungry. Most likely tired is the reason for the crankiness and food will only subside the issue for a short time.

Hi, first of all thanks for helping me try to figure this out. Now I think I can make the chugging/sputtering feeling happen on purpose. I have the MAF unplugged for about 50 miles with no difference so far..I noticed when I drive up small hills, or if the car is under load it starts to move the RPMs up and down and makes the car do it'* thing. I have my girlfriend and other family members with me in the car and it becomes very sensitive to the hills or any kind of small climbing up a road. Going down the hill or road is without any problem. So it only is doing this when the engine has to work harder. I am 100% positive. I hope someone has a clue :(
Hmm, well I searched the forum more and I saw a similar problem with the PNP switch or something of that sort. Is this easy to locate? Maybe it needs to be adjusted..This car does seem like it is having a problem deciding which gear it wants when going up a hill. I am just stumped with auto trans!

Good work. I am glad we were able to help. Its amazing what a small repair this is, but what a pain in the butt it can be until you know what to do.

I have a stupid problem that I can't really fix, or I could if I knew where to find the parts, It is the long plastic body molding (If thats what you call it) It goes along all 4 doors. Well, my right rear door does not have the (clips) that would hold this plastic molding on. There is just one small hole I guess for a screw. The original owner told me it is a brand new door, it does not even have holes for the clips. He said it was side-swiped and he purchased the new door without the plastic. I have a brand new plastic molding in the trunk, but no way to get it on. I hope this even makes some sense! I will post pictures tomorrow, maybe I will just have to bring it to a body shop.
