spark plugs
anyone use bosch platinum 4 tip plugs ? i wanted to get the ac platinums for my 96 ssei but autozone says they are discontinued. i bought the bosches but havent put them in yet. also they said i have 2 oxygen sensors. dont want to spend $125 on both of them right now as i am putting almost $1000 into the car in the next month including new tires, which one is more important to change first or does it matter ? thanks

Also many of us highly recommend you DON'T use bosch. Those are for foreign cars like BMW and what not and can do damage to a Bonnie. I personally recommend NGK or AC Delco. Platinums last longer and coppers are better for big performance mods (turbos, SC, nitrous). You pick.
2 O2 sensors? :?

Bubba, you really need to put your year and model in your sig. I'm assuming you have a 96 and up. For fuel economy, the O2 in your rear exhuast manifold is the one to change. The one after the cat won't have an effect on economy, it'* just a watchdog to see that the catalytic converter is working properly.
Like Allmachtige says, don't use Bosch plugs OR O2 sensors in a bonneville. These 3800'* eat them up in 2 months or less. Use AC Delco or NGK plugs, and AC Delco O2'*.

Don't use plats in a force-fed engine. Use Copper plugs. I'm using the NGK V-powers in mine. They work great. The NGK irridiums and the AC-delco'* are the same plug. NGK makes them for AC-delco. Your STORE may have discontinued them when the plug design changed, but the Delco'* are still out there.

Well.. you're is an SSEI.. and from what I've been told is to stick with Copper cause the copper sparkplug will give if you have predetonation.. and is cheaper then an engine to replace.. but I didn't hear about it be discontinued since I looked it up for my car a month ago a 97 SSEI and AC delco'* and NGK have it in stock.. the engine and everythin should be the same as for mine.. maybe buddy was lazy ?? don't know... don't have the part number handy since I"m not at home.. so if you can't find it.. I"ll look for it and post it around monday

AC planinums were NOT discontinued. They were re-designed. Different part numbers now, but go non-plat, anyway. Whoever told you that is living in the dark. Deathrat can give you more info on it.

OK, this is all a little confusing.
The force fed engines shouldn't use the AC Delco Platinum Professionals?
Some people say yes, some say no, im all confused

GM puts them in, but some performance shops don't reccommend it. The platinum doesn't react in the hotter environments very well. Discount plugs don't either. Your SC can increase cylinder head temps BY 135°F. That'* why. I'll try to find the tech article I read and re-post it.
