going to get the last things i need for the bonni at the junkyard and the last thing i need is the thing on the steering wheel that does the wiper and turning lights and highbeams. how do you get that off the car?

My advice to you is to take the entire steering column and take it home.

You're going to need at least chilton'* #28200 to pull this job off. The multi-function lever is a bitch.

crap lol thats going to be alot of money. theres a bonni there with the dash out of the car and the steering column just hanging there ill have to check to see if its on there but i need one because the one i got dont click to turn the highbeams on

That could very well just be the bright switch. You can replace that by lowering the steering column. Cheap part.

What year is your car? I have a 93 SSE with a column that i *might* be able to remove before it goes to the junkyard and I could bring the next time I head out to an NEBF meet or go to Bill'* place.

its a 96 SE but bill went and saw the car and he said its a SLE

bright switch shouldn't be too bad to change although I never di one.

that switch is easy to replace, do u feel it click when u pull the lever, on our 94 the metal rod came loose from the lever to the switch and it doesnt do anything right now, i have to fix that,

Chris...if the lever is missing...I've got it. Call me tonight and let me know if you or your Dad is cruising up to grab the map light and I can tell you how to put the lever in.
