Electronic Spark Control code- where do I go from here? HELP!
Ok... Thanks to the endless wealth of knowledge of all of you guys, I've managed to eliminate some possiblities, however, I'm now stuck like chuck so here it goes...
I have a 93 Bonneville SSE with about 60k miles on it (no, its not a typo). Intermitently, it will rev to redline without moving, like im sitting in neutral. After repeatedly turning the car off and restarting (typically 4-5 times) it will start to move, very sluggishly, almost like im in second gear. Ive tried putting it in od,d,1, and 2 to get it moving without restarting to no avail. Once I get going at highway speeds my tach will flutter with a 500-1500 rpm variance causing the car to lurch (like a fish biting the line) with no variance on any other gauge. I've noticed that when I start from a complete stop on even a slight incline that the problem occurs more frequently (80% of the times it does this Im on an incline). It was throwing codes for the TPS, and electronic spark control failure... so in the last month I have cleaned and oiled the K&N filter, cleaned the throttle body, MAF sensor, replaced the TPS, checked coils (all registered approx 5.6-8k on the secondary and 1.3-9 on the primary) replaced coils with junkyard set anyway that tested more to spec due to the intermitent nature of the problem, picked up an ICM from the yard too (not installed yet) So thats where I am so far, and Im STUCK... I was told not to worry about plugs and wires because it would be throwing a code for a misfire not ESC failure (please confirm, sounds wrong to me) Money is certainly is an issue, so I'm hoping one of you bonnie gurus can steer me in a non transmission related *crosses fingers* direction... any input would be great... hope thats a good start on the info, and thanks in advance

I assume you cleared those codes and they came back?
The TPS will jack up the shifting. I don't think it accounts for all your shifting issues though. How does the fluid color and level look?
