Default is it my iac

My car starting to idle rather high in park between 3 and 4k rpms and when I put it in gear it accelerates on its own usually up to 45 mph or so. It usually corrects itself after a 10 mins or so no more idling or acceleration. My check engine light only comes on sporadically, every once in awhile. I've changed my intake, cleaned my throttle body and maf sensor. Ne clue to what this could be???

Have the codes read. Even though the light isn't on. If it ever came on it will still show that code.

My bonne recently started doing this as well. Been meaning to clean the IAC and MAF, as soon as the rain stops pouring down in our neck of the woods.

With the idling and driving that you mention, I'd side more torward a bad tps sensor.

Yep, sounds like a TPS. here is a test you can try. https://www.gmforum.com/trouble-shooting-test-procedures-141/testing-tps-throttle-position-sensor-279319/
