We get around 16-17 MPG on our '93 SSEi, mostly short trips in the city, and around 21MPG on our '92 SSE */c, mixed city and freeway driving.

I'm not happy getting only 16-17 MPG in the city without driving it hard, that'* probably typical for a supercharged series I in city driving.

Fuel economy probably varies greatly depending on whether or not the engine is supercharged, fuel brand, driving habits, etc.

My 97 SSEi gets about 26 around town, and averages 30Mpg on the highway. My fuel gauge doesnt work so I have to go off mileage between fillups. I usually go around 450miles before I fill up, and it takes about 15 gallons. I guess if I ran it dry, it would get me about 540 miles on a tank. Wow, thats pretty good huh

My 92 SSE gets about 24 on the highway and 20 around town. I dont know why its so bad. It has had new plugs, wires, O2 sensor, ect.

how can everyone get like 30 mpg on the freeway goin like 75???? i think that the MPG when the cars where new (my 93 ssei) was like rated for I think no higher than 22 or something at 55???? this kinda confusses me because even the previous owner told me he got 32 MPG and he drove in town mostly, i was shocked to say the least when i heard that!
