I believe that most of the replacements use the HD core.. I need every bit I can get here in FL..
I have never noticed the Buicks having the thicker core... I will have to Take a Glance at a few as well... Very interesting

I think it was Boosty that made the recommendation to me a Year or so ago..
www.radiatorexpress.com
Thats where I get all of my Radiators now..
This one came with the fittings for the newer style tranny cooler.. All 92-99'* will have the newer ( larger fittings ).. My last one did not have the fittings, but I bypassed the internal cooler anyhow..
I am not sure if I will do the same for the 91 or not..
And Mine are not GM replacements..
The one for the 95 was actually a Caddy 4.9V8 radiator that I was sent.. I did not expect it, But I sure was not going to return it...lol... Its still in use...

How low will the pressure get at 200F idling for a period of time? and what kind of oil are you using?
and with a 3800 you should see 60 Psi at 1800 rpms
35 Psi at 1800 is not a good thing... And 5-10 at idle on a Buick engine is bad to say the least..
If the bottom end is getting toasted, you could be creating more heat and could be beating the life out of the oil as well

I'd be looking for the KR when pressure is that low. That will tell the tale of what the bearings are feeling. As my bearings started and pressure was ~40 @ 2000 rpm, I had 14-15 KR.
