crappily noted as "trans modulator" in red. Yours may look different. The one in the picture is stock on a 97. The screw is inside the modulator. You pull the little hose off of it and it will be inside the hole.

When you instaled that modulator, did you read and follow the installation instructions? I'll assume not, based on your answers here. In any case, murphyam53 is right on the money, as also are Willwren and BillBoost.

At NEBF we had several going to the Adjustable Modulator... I was trying to make sure that everyone understood that they wanted a firmer shift, Not a Bang or Kaboom shift as that is just as bad for the trans as a totally soft spongy mushy shift... A few drove my car and liked the shifts... All I wanted was a slightly quicker and firmer shift... No bangs or Thuds..
I agree with everyone here... You need to back that Modulator down
