Default miss off the line?

My car was running fine when a code 41 showed up(cam sensor) a few weeks ago. I did not seem to affect the performance or drivability at first but the last few days my car suffers from a hesitation or miss right at launch. Can a cam sensor cause something like this or is there something else wrong? Full tune-up has been done recently.
