minor maintenance tutorials?
i've tried searching, but come up with nothing. i'm looking for an overview about the best way to go about performing minor maintenance to my new bonne. just had her over a month, and a few other members are suggesting i do some things like change the O2 sensor, clean the MAF sensor, and change the plugs and wires. If anyone knows of a tutorial on how to do these things (exept the plugs and wires, that'* pretty self explanatory) please point me in the right direction! Thanks!

Heres the o2 sensor on the rear manifold
Get an 02 removing tool from any autopart place if you want it to comeoff easy.
Its a real easy thing to do.
the red arrow is pointing to the maf, your going to need a special drill bit to get it out, they sell em at kragen

Why is a special drill required to clean a MAF sensor? They usually have a phillips head screw holding them on. Ensure you have the correct size screwdriver and press down while loosening or holding the screwdriver on the screw..tap lightly to break any corrosion holding the screw.

I've seen some that have the security type torx screw in them...the one with the little nipple in the center...where you need the security type torx driver bit to get them out properly. Perhaps that'* what he meant instead of drill?

Yes...pretty cool.....I have a1999 bonneville se...Same color as yours....Tidy car just did a wax on it today......I am having problems with crappy acceleration and have searched the world over to find the problem...I changed o2 sensor, cat convertor, plugs, wires....I searched this forum very patiently and found that cleaning the maf sensor does the trick in many instances...Thats my project tomorrow.....Id love to see your shop....Bonneville is my favorite car of all time....Thanks for your time Dan...I appreciate it....Mark
