Default lugs

I got them free at the junk yard. They were all over the ground and the guy at the counter said take them. Not a saleable item.
Problem with aftermarket is they don't match the originals so you'll have to change them all.

here is the problem....

there are 2 different types of lug caps....the Black Plastic ones are made of ABS plastic and tend not to break...now the chrome ones on the other hand are made of a hardned plastic and even looking at them the wrong way will make them fall off.....

They are resistant to everything forever. They have the bulge on the end and sit in a socket nicely. They look great and you don't feel like you are doing double duty when taking off a tire.
I just looked those up and there'* no picture or detail info. Do you have a picture of them? And how many per package? (five I assume)

I think I had a price quote from GMPartsDirect once, but with an extra $9 for shipping, it was cheaper to buy a bag of them from my dealer. How much is your dealer wanting?

Sorry..I'm not having any luck finding my pictures. Look just like the factory plastic chrome caps but a little smaller.

I like them because they have the bulge like the lugnuts from the factory and don't fall inside a deep socket.

Well you answered my question by PM, that there are four per package and it will take 5 packs to replace mine. Thanks.

I've been wanting some good solid chrome lug nuts so I don't have to worry 'bout losing the caps all the time.

Oh, and sorry if this seems like a hijack, just thought it was another option for the lug nut caps.

PM answered yes..however by the time I got back to the post you had the link. No need for me to overdue it.
I love these things. When you take off a tire...no double duty and no lost caps.
Hijack: you guys w/white cars seem good at it. :P

I actually got a set of aftermarkets that look exactly like the caps (maybe just a hair smaller), and sound a lot like what Bill is describing, that came with 4 sets of 5 (including locking lugs, which I replaced with a set of 4 standard lug nuts).

Got 'em at PepBoys for well under 30 bucks.

I don't like the caps either
