Default Lower Air Deflector

I was thinking of ordering item # 12 and delivering it to the US since GM Parts Direct doesn't ship to Canada and almost fell off my chair when I noticed that the shipping was as much as the part. What the heck, anyone ever ordered this part before and found the solution to the shipping issue?

PS. thanks for the picture Don.

Optional part that makes it tougher to work on the car right? Most people remove them from the car with a curb?

The reason I wanted to put it back on is because the whole bottom section is now flimsy. It'* very loose and has nothing to secure to.

It'* there for a reason. It directs airflow to the lower part of the radiator. This is to make up for what the front bumper blocks.

This is common practice on nearly all modern cars.

I ripped mine off with the road and never looked back. sure made it easier to see where I was going with a jack without it there.

never had an issue with cooling. heck I didn't even notice I had destroyed it. until it was pointed out to me at a meet.

The *&H cost from GMPD includes other things besides just shipping and handling. They even say that somewhere on the site. Ithink most people would prefer that they just list an actual price with realistic *&H, instead of putting operating costs and profit in there.

When it comes to GMPD, I only order from them if it'*:
A) The only place I can find a product
B) A decent amount less than just getting it at a dealer locally, including their *&H.
C) Weeks before I'll actually need the part.

I've run with and without the deflector. Didn't see any difference.
