Low oil pressure at Idle 96 Bonne SE vin K
I have the same problem and I change my oil every 3000 miles along with the filter and I have used 5w30 ever since I got my car a year ago and it just started having this problem a month ago. I got my oil changed since this has been going on and it seemed to help some but then it went back to fluctuating alot.
Here'* a question? My coolant looks like a greenish coolor in the pic.. But the coolant in my reservoir looks like a oil mixed coolant, also around the reservoir there is sludge on walls.. But the Upper intake maniflold was just repaced. Could this be because He did not empty the reservior and clean it?? i have seen that before and thats what it looks like he didnt do? i pop the cap on the radiator and it looks like this

It'* much easier than me typing the whole thing again. Short response though is don't ever trust a dash gauge. If you are wondering what the oil pressure is, please have it checked with a mechanical gauge.
Coolant: if you are using 48oz of coolant every 1k or even 3K miles, please..find the leak. You shouldn't have any significant level drops over a year. A little down a little up depending on weather and temps is normal. A constant drop...you gotta leak to find.

I to am having this problem, thats is why i found these forums.i just broke my cherry posting this post!!.. I just bought the car for $2200 its a 1995 w/ 125k it'* a florida car and there is nothing wrong with execpt the Low oil pressure after the car heats up. but as soon as i step on the gas it goes back up to 40 psi. there is no pinging or knocking. The car runs fine! Also i would like to note, The U.I.M. was just done. Along with all the vacuum lines, before i bought it. it also has a slight oil leak. im not sure where it is, i plan on adding some die to and buying a black light. also i average 27mpg

I love this car. It is one of the best cars i have ever bought. I know its a 1995, but this thing is ROCK SOLID and i would drive this car to cali if i had to. So long as this oil pressure problem is nothign serious.
Here is a picture of the car started. it is 96°F out side.

Here is the oil pressure as i accel

Here is the oil pressure when i come to a complete stop after running the car for 10-15 mins.

Ran across this thread while searching an oil pressure issue I am having with my 1995 Bonneville SSE that I picked up this past weekend. I got the car from my Father in law with 125,000 miles on her, he is the original owner and hadn't driven the car for a year or so. He says that there were no oil pressure issues prior to him parking the car. The oil was just changed and the car runs like a champ until the temp reaches 200. The oil pressure is constant while cruising or even driving through a neighborhood at low speeds. It'* once you come to a complete stop the oil pressure drops to the edge of the red. I have read a lot of possible issues, but haven't seen many solutions. I'd appreciate any help on this matter.
Thanks,
Steve
