Default Low Coolant Light

The low coolant light on my car has started coming on consistently. I've checked the radiator and the overflow and both appear to be full. The light seemed to come on quicker when the thermostat was stuck open. I've fixed that now, but it still comes on consistently on my way to school (5 miles).

I'm guessing the sensor is causing this problem. Could anything else cause it?

Is this the right sensor?

Thanks for the help.

Jonathan

Disconnect it for now. The light will go out.

Replace it later.

it is $22 new from the dealer. I had the same issue for the last year and a half. Just went and spent the cash cause I didn't just unplug it. Very easy, but messy swap too.

I bought a replacement one this morning (I had the same issue) only cost me $18

Cheap part spent the money and get the peice-of-mind knowing that if you do acctually get a low coolent level you wont think its just crying wolf

i tried disconnecting mine, the light just stayed on anyways, so i went and got a new one, takes two seconds to change and you can do it with little coolant loss, just be quick to put the new one in
