Default Looking for Vac line information

The picture below is of my vacuum line going down to the transmission. I was wondering if anyone could tell me
1. What size is the line I need to pick up?

2. What is that round thing sitting between the two lines, and do I need to find a new one?

3. Anything I need to be scared of?

Thanks for the help as always

The "round thing" is a check valve and needs to stay. Buy some new hose, cut the two pieces to the exact size and fit them onto the check valve, and your good to go!

I don't think so. I was talking to Echo earlier, and he didn't have the check valve in his either
