keyless remote problem

keyless remote problem
i have a 94 SSEi, my problem is that it came with keyless entry but the remote was gone long before i bought the car. i used the techinfo and tried 3 of the options, but the closest it had was 93, 95 and OBD II. When i tried the 93 i ended up blowing out a few fuses, when i tried the 95-OBD II i took out my battery.
i'm a doing somthing wrong or is the 94 different from all of them???

If I'm understanding this right, you are trying to program a remote of a different year for your car? If so, did you refer to the manual?

Ohh, yes, that'* kind of expensive for that kind of work. I don't have the manual with me here, but if you follow the steps there, then there shouldn't be any problems.
I'm assuming that the dealer agrees with a programmable 1995 remote for a 1994 bonneville, right? What did they say about that, could that be done?

Programming Remote
I just bought a remote off Ebay for my 94SE. It looked just like my original with the broken keychain loop except it says "Buick".
The programming was easy on my 94. I took a wire and grounded it to car body. Then I took the other end and conected it to the no. 8 wire on the diagnostic connector under the drivers side dash. On my 94, the no. 8 wire (they're not numbered that I could see) was the wire on the engine side of the connector furthest to the driver'* side. In other words, the front left most terminal.
When I touched the wire to the terminal, the doors unlocked. While holding the wire to the terminal, I pressed any button on the new remote and heard the locks actuate.
Disconnect the wire and you're done. That easy.
Maybe a 95 remote would work on a 94.
