Default Keyless Remote

Doors work fine except for the trunk. I removed the batteries and checked for voltage and there both fine. When I press the trunk it only works approximatly 25% of the time. I tried different distances and locations and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I even tried at 6" away. Nada.

Any thoughts?

If you're referring to the trunk button on the interior door, yes it works when depressed. I'm down to one keyless remote so I don't know if it'* the remote or something to do with the sensor re the trunk itself.

Is there any goop under the rubber pad that presses on the circuit board to make the connection?

I took it apart and sprayed contact cleaner and wiped it clean, put it back together and had the same issues.
