How can I get rid of the squeaking sound in the dashboard?
My '95 Bonne is getting older. Squeaking sounds from the dashboard has emerged for the latest 2-3 years. The sounds appear in turns, on bumpy roads and when I accelerate or break.
My guess is that the plastic parts are getting dry and that friction is creating these annoying squeaks.
Anyone with similar problems? I’ve tried a mild lubricant in aerosol form on some spots with just a little success.

The entire dash comes out with about 15 bolts...only 8 are main support. It is pretty easy to get at them and try to tighten. Although..I was able to get rid of some squeaks and rattles by freshening up my suspension.

yes, I have the same problems. It seems like everything is creaking and makign noises inside anymore, even after I have checked everything for proper fit.
honestly, you will drive yourself insane trying to fix squeaks and rattles, i know i have, they just keep appearing, more everyday, and i don't know why. my only answer is to maybe get some felt tape or 3M Squeak tape and apply it where the squeak seems to be coming from, although even that doesn't always help.
Interior quality on this vehicle is not the greatest, as i have found. Good luck to you though!

one squeek that you swear coming from the dash could be coming from the front hood latch, maybe a front strut bearing.

At 179K miles...I don't have squeak problems that couldn't be fixed with a tightening or something simple. For the mostpart the cars are very solid which keeps the squeaks down.
