Default K member swap?

Hello all!! This is probably better in the performance and brainstorming section, but it won't let me post there so....... I recently saved a '92 Bonneville SSE from the crusher out of my beloved local yard that is closing down 😢 I originally got it for the L67 and trans to swap into my '89 Lesabre, however, a bit of research leads me to believe that the entire k member might swap over giving me the bigger brakes and stiffer suspension as well? 🤔 Anyone have any additional info on whether this is doable? Is the track width drastically different between the 2 generations? Also the body and SSE trim on the Bonneville are in really good shape and the interior aside from front seats and headliner aren't to shabby either. Anyone interested in those parts, feel free to PM me.

A frame shop they would know. Possibly the interchange used by junk yards may be able to tell you if it will fit.

I think they're both just a bit over 60" so it might work. Definitely worth measuring and finding out.

Anyone interested in those parts, please do not feel free to PM Buick3889 as I'm fairly sure he does not want action taken against his GMForum account.

Buick3889, please read the forum rules you agreed to follow during the account creation process: https://www.gmforum.com/introduction...-first-304557/

Of particular importance to you is this line:

Selling items through private message will be looked upon in the same manner. Warning points will be issued.
I didn't quite spell this out last time I brought it up: We keep all sales etc. in the "For Sale or Trade" forum to keep GMForum from becoming yet another playground for illicit activities. Yes, we do hold the leash pretty tight in this regard, and as a result we don't have a lot of these issues. The downside is a nominal requirement for a little history with members in the form of minimum time and post count as a member. This has kept "one-and-done" spammers/scammers/hooligans/bots/etc. under control, and kept the "noise" under control so folks can get help and we can find them on the forum to give help. The downside is situations like this, where someone just has parts etc. to sell/trade/etc. legitimately.

Please do not from offering things for sale outside of proper channels. After some more time and posts you'll be able to advertise within the rules in the "For Sale or Trade" forum. The minimums can be found in this post.

Oops, my bad. Sorry for overstepping the boundaries on sale items. I see there are limits on links to craigslist and Ebay as well so I'm going to assume that applies to FB marketplace too. Doing an L67 swap has always been on the agenda fo the lesabre, which I've owned for 13 years now (a record for me!) much to my wife'* dismay (old junk as she would call it lol) but the purchase of the Bonneville was unplanned and I was eager to make some of my $ back. On another note, did they put a different ratio rack and pinion in the SSE'* and SSEI'* than they did in the SE'*? This is probably going to be a long project because I dont know anything about the history of this engine or tranny so I'll end up tearing them both down and rebuilding them, with extra go fast goodies of course 😉

No worries. It looks like we've got it sorted out. Thank you for being a good sport about it!

Yep. Basically links to anywhere. It looks like it'* time to update the rules a bit. Those were posted almost a decade ago. I'm looking into it.

It would be a fast car with an L67. Those things don't weigh anything.

I understand this! I keep cars pretty much forever. Our 1997 LeSabre has been in our family since 2002.

Makes sense. You can always advertise it elsewhere . . . and/or you're on your way to meeting the minimum requirements here.

I looked around a bit and everyone I found lists the same part number for all versions of 1992 Bonneville.
