Thanks for the replies guys. I picked up a new fuel filter and will be installing it, for kicks and giggles.

The FPR could fail without allowing gas into the vac line.

I replaced the fuel filter...no change.

I'm starting to think that something'* let go inside the engine or the transaxle. I know my car pretty well, and it "sounds" like it'* in gear with your foot on the brake, when it'* in park/neutrel. It'* like its under a little bit of load at all times. Idle is slightly lower, as well.

My IAC count at idle, about 750 rpm, is 48. Is that normal? Like I said I think it'* under a load. Could something in the tranny have crapped out?

BTW, with the two front wheels off the ground, in neuttrel, does the other side spin in the opposite direction like a normal "open" truck axle?

Also, I tested the compression of all cylinders, and all are close to each other and well above the 100 psi that the FSM suggests for an LN3.

Can a bad torque converter do this? But I have the problem whether its locked up or not.

Scan it. That'll tell you if you have a bad TC.

Get a boost gauge.

Fix your fuel pressure. It'* not high enough. The filter isn't likely to be your problem.

I didn't ask for codes.

You need to check for TCC slip rpm'*.

Don't you have a scantool?

Sorry I don't Will. I guess I've been too lucky having a Reatta with Diagnostic Mode and haven't had to buy a scan tool.

There HAS to be a way to get this reading that you speak of. You know the readout-code for it?

You need a scantool. You absolutely need one with your conversion. There are far too many parameters you need right now that you can't obtain through OEM diagnostics.

My local mechanic has a Snap On scantool. Should I ask him to look for anything specific, like the TCC slip RPM? I'm not in a position to buy one right now, and he'll scan it for a case of Coke.

Could my catalytic converter have crapped out, causing a ton of blockage?
