Well the shop said that its not my manifold gasket or the donut thing, that i have a crack in my manifold. Ive never heard of it but ive known them for years and a friend of the family so i trust them. They said they could get me a new one or JBWeld it, they said it should be strong enough and ive used the stuff before and its damn near like steel. What are your opinions on using that?

Long as they get it to stick real good and sand smooth on both sides it'll be good. If it doesn't stick you'll have little peices of hard of as steel foating around your engine.

Think about the risk there... it could go in and take out a valve and piston, score your cylinder... all kinds of stuff. Not worth the risk. If you've got the money get it fixed right. The only time I'd JBWeld parts of my motor is if I didn't have anyway to get the money, and the motor was starting to die any way.

Without seeing the crack, and with the trust you have in them, let 'em at it. I'd wrap it, too though.

err i was stupid and didnt clarity which manifold, its my rear exhaust manifold not my intake manifold so im pretty sure nothing will be entering my engine. Knowing this does anything change, seems like a few of you were thinking it was my intake manifold, sorry its not Anyways, any ideas?

Crap. I knew he was talking exhaust, but didn't realize that it was a 92!

Just weld the sucker! It'* not cast iron like all the newer ones.
