Default its cold, and my heat wont work right

ok, well its really cold....and my heat is not all there...when it does work (once a week) its great, but its only once a day, and thats after i do some heavier driving....so whats the cause?

i searched the archives and here is what i can tell you:

-the heat has worked before
-the coolant level in both the rad/resiv. are level
-the car reaches about 200 on the heat gauge after like 10-15 min of driving

-and i would check the heater core, but i dont know where the hoses are located...so yeah

Your heater core is located above the passenger'* side hush panel behind a plastic cover. There are two lines that go through the firewall near the power steering pulley.

I think more information would help us though. I'm guessing by your username that you have a 92 but a trim level would help. Also, is the car equipped with manual or electronic climate control?

Yeah, more info needed.

Is the fan working (seems to be a rash of that lately)

Do you hear the fan, but no air is moving from the vents?

no the bonnie is a 98 ssei (with eec), and i am not sure if the fan is working, but there is air moving through the vents, but most of the time all that i get is cold air, occasionally i get some good heat.

Is your eec display flashing? if it is, your airmix motor is probably on the fritz. Also, there is no control valve on the heater hoses to keep the coolant from circulating. You're getting heat in there, your mix door is probably just stuck or the motor went out.
