Default intermittent starting problem

Hey guys , haven't been here in a while . My car has been running great (93 SE) . Now , sometimes she won't start - when I say this , I mean the car does nothing ( starter won't engage but no clicking from the solenoid) . Everything is getting power and sometimes it cranks up fine and runs just fine .I"ve checked the connections to the battery as well as the battery itself . I'm wondering if the solenoid could just be sticking ? But if this were the case , wouldn't you have to go under and bump it to get it loose ? Why would it just come loose after a while on it'* own ? Could it actually be the starter switch itself having some corrosion or could it be some kind of sensor ? This car used to have a leak in the very upper left corner under the dash which I fixed . The water would drip down off of the emergency brake pedal so I"m thinking that perhaps the ignition switch might have been affected somehow ? I appreciate all advice ! Thanks
