Default Intake question

I have a '96 SSEi, and today I was tweaking with my intake today and noticed that there is something under my ECU with what looks like vacuum lines attached to it, and I was just curious as to what it is and can it be removed.

That'* your Evac canister. You do not want to remove it for emissions reasons.

Well, for emission reasons, don't remove it. But if your just looking around and its in your way, you can remove it temporarily. Just be sure to put it back

I was just curious because that'* a nice hole to run my intake instead of behind my headlight like it is now. I'm in Minnesota were we don't have emmisions checks (no excuse though..) but I don't think I will do it anyway. Unless it weighs a ton and can be removed without having any problems.

You can move it.. I just did my FWI today ( was suppose to be done yesterday @ ONBF.. but time ran short.. so never did )

I will take some pics tomorrow.

There is lots of holes around there that you may want to attempt to cover up as it will leak a lot of engine bay heat into the your fender area. I wasn't able to seal all of them

And being in MN.. you may find it is too low and unprotected for rains and winter.

I might be wrong here.. don't the fans blow hot air out down and probably over there?

My filter is in the front bumper so rains and winter are allready a problem, but I have the Spectre intake kit so I can just take off the bumper section and make it a short ram for crappy weather. So it can be removed or not? And how could it be done if possible?
