ive never really noticed anything wrong with it, and it fits perfect on my car...here take a look, the bend isnt too radical...

you need to have the shield on the other side to protect heat soak

Short ram intakes are better than a stock box, especially if you shield it. A longer intake would still outperform the short ram. The airflow becomes more laminar.

im in the process of building the heat shield...but theres not much i can do when my car is sittin under a car cover back home and im in school...kinda sucks

Those filters are not the best either. I bought one of those ebay kits before, and was very un happy about the quality of the filter, let alone the length of the pipe. Slap a K&N on there and shield the filter on the other side, then youll have a really good setup
