Default idle probs and starter probs(kinda long)

so ive had some starter problems and idle problems and its taken me about 1 month to get this fixed. It started out as my battery died(however it was fookd somehow) the first time i took the battery back to the store they asked me what car i had it in. i stated i had it in the bonne. they told me ooh no you bought it for a blazer and we will only warrenty it if you have it in a chevy i asked why....they claimed to me that only certain batterys work in certain cars....so chevy blazers have special batterys and so do bonnevilles. Now im not a total moron when it comes to cars...but i do know that a charge is a charge is a charge....so i argued with them for about 4 hours untill the "acting" manager put his finger in my face and threatened me. I then flipped and called hte head manager to there store and i got my free battery(which was better then the one i had ) then a week later it died. i took it back and they told me it was my brand new altenator. so i took it back to a diff store that i bought it from and they said it was performing better then it was pose to and ran tests on it 4 times right in front of me. So i came back to the battery store(which i also got my starter from) and told htem my starting probs wasnt teh altenator...and its obviously not hte battery since you jsut put a new one in there.......so they finally agreed that it was the starter with me and they looked at the starter....they then told me no warrenty due to excess abuse to it. they told me trying to start the car for longer then 5 seconds will damage the starter and now they wont get me a new one....again another 4 hours of arguing with the manager and i get a new starter....told to never come back and told they will never do more warrenty on my car after this. i agree to get my starter. whatever i was SOOOOO fed up with this crap. i get my car back and 3 days later nothing wont start...you hear the starter cranking and lots of power....i jsut put a new engine in too so i think well ill take it back to the place that put the engine in they said it was a crank sensor replaced the part for free and charged me 30 bucks to put it on instead of the by the book 200 dollars to get it on. i said fine whatever. well ill tell ya my car doesnt misfire anymore on idles and it starts like a dream im soo happy now. ever since i bought this car its been 1 prob after another and there all $$$$ probs.(my first engine i broke the cam in it 2 times before i got a new engine). Not to mention the 2 trannys ive gone through too(however thats a lil prob with me driving on the tranny part hehe i need something beefier). so i dont know what point i was making but make sure you remember to check this part if you cant get the damn thing to start or if it misfires some.

now im off to ask about brakes and rotors....anyone got suggestions? im running stock rims still if that matters for hte rotors.

A couple of our members have had that happen. Glad you got yours fixed.....that sensor should have been throwing a PCM failure code.

For brakes, visit www.angryducktofuracing.com or www.domesticperformance.com and stick with 10" rotors with the stock wheels. Ceramic pads are suggested. There'* a half-dozen of us running a setup like this now.

my "guess" is that the sensor conks out and since it helps with the timeing of the firing that the cpu notices somehting is wrong and cuts out...thoguh i have no real idea.
