Well my 93 bonne drives quite well at normal speed but once i come to a stop and at park the idle {rpm gauge ) goes crazy.Took it to the mechanic and he said its the fuel pump because its has a pressure of 23. and it should be around 35 or 40 does he make sense or any other ideas of what it could be.remember when it comes to a stop it idles crazy then shuts of totally then i have to start it back up

Personally, I would start with the cheapest fix. Try a new filter and some good engine cleaner. The the Fuel Pressure Regulator (If I remember right, that was around or less than 30 bucks). Then, go to the pump.

May sound like extra money, but the cheaper stuff probably needs to be replaced anyway. ANd if one of them fixes it, you've saved yourself the ore expensive stuff.
