at night when my lights come it my idle jumps from 850 up to 1200-1300, could my alternator be going out, or is the car supposed to do this. it doesnt do it when the lights are on. if i cut the lights on at day it will idle higher also.

I know that with my car, the PCM will command a higher idle to maintain a certain battery condition. I don't know if they had that back in '95 or not.
