Default I want to bypass my AC compressor w/shorter belt. 1992 yr.

Has anyone bypassed the AC compressor with a shorter fan belt? My compressor bearings are on the way out. This is the second time in 4 yrs. I figure it must be a known problem with this year (1992).

It looks like I could do it with a shorter fan belt by going from the water pump pully directly to the altinator.

If anyone has done this successfully, what size, part number, belt did you use?

If the shorter belt won't work, is there a pully kit I can buy to install in place of the compressor?

Thanks
Steve
