Reman WHAT?

You don't use a torx. Use a 15mm socket on the tensioner pulley, and the tensioner assembly will rotate out of the way, releasing belt tension.

Just get in there and do it. You'll figure it out. It just swings away under pressure.

What REMAN part are you asking about? Several posts up you mentioned a reman part saving you money, but never stated what part it was.

Please edit your profile and put your year and trim level in your signature so we don't have to ask you every time you post.

You won't wreck anything. It'll swing one way, and not the other. The wrong way will loosen the pulley from the tensioner, so if that happens, just go the other way. Trust me. Just go in there and to it.

And PLEASE clarify what Reman part you're asking about.

Why on EARTH did it take all these posts to clarify that? :?

If you get a reman alternator get an AC Delco, Remy from Advanced, or the best NAPA reman they have. Pay attention to the warranty.

easy on the newbie Bill

Here is a video to help you, its on a supercharged engine, but all tensioners work the say way. The worst you can do if you go the wrong way is loosen the bolt
