What'* your year and trim level?

To take the tension off just put a socket to it and turn it, the whole pulley will move and simply pull the belt off...

[edit] Found a better picture(*) to use, the red arrow points to the belt tensioner:
Of a Series I:

Or Series II:

BTW Welcome to the club

I belive you need a torex socket for that. T45 comes to mind but I'm not sure.

There shoudl be a diagram in your owners manual showing the pulleys and the path of the serpent belt

Torx? Depends on the year.

We don't know the year, so there'* not much we can do. Please edit your profile and put your year and trim level in your signature.
