I have had it with Raybestos.
I know it'* been said...
I'm running the Bendix pads and wearever rotors. No problems so far....
However..in the back..wearever drums were horrible.. I went through two sets.

Its strange on my 91 LE I usually get 5 years out of a set of rotors before I notice any warp... They are so cheap i don't even bother to turn them, I just replace them... Never an issue... I had Delco Pads on there and decided to go with the Titainum Bendix as I did not care for the Fade of the OEM pads... But never warped a rotor...
On my 95 I have gone through 3 sets I think... And warped them all.. No problems with the Caliper piston, or the slides... The Rotors just sucked... I guess the high heat with the sudden flash floods that we get down here can cool a rotor too quick causing warp... Funny tho the 91 never had any issues with that...
So far the thicker Rotors( Maybe they are the HD version ) have been great and I have beat on them too.. So far so good, couldn't be more pleased..
This Pic really doesn't do the diffrence between the old and new rotor justice..

Everytime I changed the rotors I cleaned and lubed the slides. All works well there. I should take pics of the rotors, then you will see what I mean. I paid $78/ea for the Raybestos rotors that I had, they were the PG (Professional Grade) ones for ceramic Pads.
I did go with the cheam $29 ones this time. I figure what the heck, I went expensive and they warped, no try cheap.
I must say the NAPA pads seem like they stop the car a hell of a lot better, but its hard to compare worn pads to a totally new setup.

My 96 came with NAPA Raybestos blue pads which haven't hardly worn at all in 3 yrs.
Had tons of brake wear issues with the SSE until I installed two new rotors, with the Carbon Metallics. The caliper slides needed reworking also. Had to dig the rubber bushing out and clean them out with a round file. Now it too doesn't seem to wear at all and has excellent brake feel.
I think the rotors were the standard $11 ones at Auto Zone. Funny thing is I think they solved all my problems. $11 who needs to turn them.
I have seen name brand rotors come out of the box in terrible shape.

Well I'm thrilled bleepless. Have 2 Raybestos GP Plus rotors coming along with 2 loaded calipers with GP Plus pads on them.
Besides street running, or extra heavy duty driving, these are supposed to be their best.
Raybestos is really strange. They have 3 stock consumer rotor models (at Advance). GP, Aimco and something else. Their site only mentions the GPs as their end-all be-all.
I shoulda asked you guys first.
PS Learned something about Advance. Even though they have a store in your state, if they don't have an item stocked in the stores, they don't charge tax. Either another company handles their e-orders or they are going to get a visit from the IRS.
So no tax, free shipping, and a 10% coupon. Sounded good. But all for stupid if I'm back at the store in 6 months. Bleep.

I just did my brakes yesterday, replaced raybestos pads with Bendix. I don't even know what brand of rotors I had on the car but I replaced them with Bendix rotors as well. I used to work at Advance so I've had occasion to compare the quality of Bendix and Wearever rotors, the Bendixes are definately a higher quality rotor little bit beefier it seems and the castings seem higher qualtiy as well. Unfortunately they are expensive (approx $80 a pop) so they better hold up better than cheaper ones. My last rotors weren't all that bad but they were a little bit warped.
