The SSEi is supercharged and a fun all around car. Repairs and problems will depend on the maintenance previously done on this 13 year old, mileage and abuse.

Overall..these are strong, well built cars. Use premium gas and change the pulley to a smaller diameter (2.2) and you'll feel an instant kick.

Please tell us more about the car and background.

93 is a good year. I've has three so far and still have two-ish.

As for mods, start with the basics of Intake, exhaust, 180* t-stat, plugs and wires if they need it. Do a tune up as well when you get it. Once you have the basic mods, Jet Performance makes a Chip for the 93 and you can drop to a 2.2 pulley then. If you go straight to the pulley you run the risk of breaking something. A scan tool is also not a bad thing to get, although could be pricey.

Good luck with the 93. Let me know if you need any parts as my 2nd 93 is a parts car.

Hotwiring may not go well.

The VATS security system expects a certain resistance value when the ignition is turned. If that value is not present, it will cut fuel etc etc.

LOOK! ANOTHER GA MEMBER!!!! I'm so excited.

I would see what'* wrong with the car, see what he wants for it, and go from there.
