Default HVAC Programmer...help!

My dash vents won't blow, and I think I've got the collapsed nipple in the programmer vacuum manifold thing like in these threads:

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=69938

I've confirmed that I got vacuum coming to the pink line. What I want to do is remove the manifold, but I can't for the life of me get that nut off (red arrow):

Anyone know for sure what size it is? I've tried 6, 7, 8 mm deep sockets, but I can't even get the socket to seat on that nut, as it is so recessed. Any trick I'm missing here?

Default

It'* 7mm. A Craftsman 7mm socket driver (looks like a screwdriver with a 7mm socket on the end) will work. It has a hollow shaft and will fit right on.

Once you get the nut off, use a small common screwdriver and carefully pry around the edge of the plastic manifold. They're stuck on there pretty good. Just make sure you don't cut the manifold. Work slowly, it'll come off.
