The parts puppies will be glad to sell you a bottle of 'genuine' power steering fluid, of course.

I usually had to sit on my helmet, but then again, the boogers were shooting at my helicopter from underneath.

I used ATF in my power steering for years, but with the TFE and Variable rack in my SSEi, I only use PS fluid now.

ATF can stand up to around 300 PSI but when you crank your rack and pinion to the stop a power steering pump pressure can reach 1000 PSI. ATF will work fine for awhile but will breakdown under that pressure.

A humming/scraping noise on left turns only can be the inner fender liner in the right wheel well. We all pull the panel out to get to the oil filter then forget to push the inner panel up over the frame. My panel has a big hole in it from the tire!

does anybodies car whine while turning? i have checked power steering fluid and its fine.

I had problems with noises at low speed when turning the wheel and it ended up being the bearings at the top of the strut towers. I pulled the black covers and squirted spray white greese and it'* been fine since.
