Sry to thread jack but I have same problem, on the starter... Mine is stuck at A Casino though in a parking lot... 92 sse I want to change it myself but I need a lil help, like cost of Parts vs just getting it fixed at the local Auto Repair Place.... Ive Changed my alternator and did minor repairs by myself.... If anyone could just post a pic where the starter is That would help me out alot, I think its right up close to the steering column but not sure.......

I split this from an old thread.

It'* on the front of the engine, down near the bottom under the front exhaust manifold. A new starter is maybe $80. When I did mine, I did it from underneath. I couldn't get the starter out after I unbolted it until I removed the EGR from the front exhaust manifold, then I had the room to manuever it out.
