Well it turns out that with the towing charge of $60 freakin dollars included it comes out to $355. Was a crazy day though. When the car was halfway up the ramp with the winch pulling it, the hook slipped off of my car and my car went rolling into the front end of a suburban so now the company says to call them when my engine work is done so they can fix the body damage. Its not much but the tailights are smashed and the trunk is popped open a bit and theres also a bunch of scratches in the paint. The suburban however is thrashed in the front and has a slightly smashed in radiator. We live in apts so we couldnt get a hold of the other owners but the driver left their card and I will be leaving a note explaining what happened to their pretty old suburban.

Don't rip off the insurance companies, we pay enough as it is. They know better anyways.

Good luck with the body work, the towing company is going to pick up the damage on the suburban right?

Yea the towing company has got it all covered. I would love to get some SSEi taillights but do you think they would let me if I asked them and they were the same price?

They're not the same price. SSE ones are generally more expensive because they're more complicated, rare, and even more rare because of delamination problems.

EDIT : They'll give you whatever they get a hold of anyways.

Default garage

I have the same problem evertime I let a garage touch my car.

Gives me the willis just thinking about it.
Thats why I have resolved to do my own work if at all possible.
Sometimes its not.

Yea I was going to do this myself but my dad and I thought we would save the hassle and have it done for us and now all this happened. Oh well, Im not mad at all it was kind of funny but I feel really bad for the other persons car and I dont think they even know yet because my note is still under the windshield wiper.
