i cant seem to remember how to measure the size of my exhaust pipes.?

the pipes are already installed on my muffler. they are the outlets on my flowmaster but they look smaller then the inlet pipe and i wanna find out so i can get some tips.

its already installed. isnt their a way i could use a string or something?

if u look in the pic the pipe drops in size from the outlet to the actual pipe.

The split muffler exhaust typical of SSE'* and SSEi'* of your body style (96-99) are 2.5". The SE single pipe exhaust is 2.25".

Measure circumfrence with a wire or a flexible sewing tape measure thingy and divide by pi (3.1415) to get diameter

Less math method: Homemade micrometer - Grab a C clamp, close it on the pipe to the point you can just barely slide it on/off - Measure the gap....
