how hard is it to pull the engine in a 96 sse?
Hi guys...Pulling a motor. Piece of cake. (Did one this past w/e) Even with the transmission...right out the top. There is a ton of room and no reason to mess up the alignment and need to get that done as well.
Bascially you unhook the electrical from the motor and flop it toward the firewall, Pull the fuel rail and flop, unhook AC and PS from the motor. (do not disconnect any lines or drain anything, unbolt from brackets only). Disconnect starter and remove, take out converter bolts, Hook up hoist, From inside passenger wheel well, remove bracket to trans and the one semi hidden trans bolt, regular trans bolts, and torque axis mount... pull gently.
