Default How do I tighten my AutoDimming Mirror

I have the auto dimming mirror option and it makes a sort of ratling noise when I go over bumps, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me how to tighten it so it isn't as loose. The arm is not loose on the glass, the actual mirror is loose from the arm that attaches to the glass. My body shop told me that there was no way to tighten it, but I find this hard to belive. Thanks for any help!

Does it have a little hex screw on the back? it may be headless and fit all the way in the hole.... that'* my guess....

The answer is no... I could not see a hex (or any screw for that matter).

Disconnect the electrical connector at the rear of the mirror assembly, then hold the mirror in one hand and with a slight twist of the other hand, jerk it downwards away from the window. It should pop it out. Takes about 20lbs of force.

Did you ever get your mirror off, and fixed?

Mine keeps "shorting out"... it'll be on one second and then off the next.
I notice the light going on and off. If I fiddle (aka tap it enough, or move the cable) it will stay on for a bit, then go off again.

I think I need to take it apart and clean the connectors.
